Deny defeat its power

Deny defeat its power

I know what it's like to run away from a problem. I even know what it's like to run away from a person. Unfortunately, running away never solved my problems. As a matter of fact, it almost always prolongs them. The confrontation, the conflict, and the fighting.

However, sometimes there needs to be a fight in order to get a resolution, especially in cases where confirmation is needed about who truly has power & authority. For followers of Jesus Christ, He is our authority and we exercise His power in our lives with the help of the Holy Spirit that dwells in those who have faith in the One and only Almighty God.

"Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, 'Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.' And He said to them, 'I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.'" - Luke 10:17-19

The thing is you have to be willing to face the problem in order to solve it whether it's demonic oppression, disease, disorder, debt, persecution, abandonment, loneliness, or whatever else you've been dealing with. Think about it, how can you win the battle if you won't even show up to the fight? Notice I didn't say that you would have to fight but facing the problem demonstrates that you have faith that God will help you overcome it. Keep in mind that facing the problem means taking some sort of action, including but not limited to prayer & fasting because...

If you do not deal with it, you will be defeated.

This is the revelation that the Holy Spirit gave me this week, and I hope you will receive it in love from someone who knows what it's like to live with the consequences of trying to pretend that a problem doesn't exist or hoping that it will go away on its own. Remember, testimonies are birthed from victory not defeat, which means some sort of fight must take place and your faith in God is needed to win the battles that have the potential to delay or destroy you. So, please don't allow the trial to convince you that you're alone because in all actuality, you're not.
