Don't stand in God's way

Don't stand in God's way

I'm not sure how long this blog post will be today. Mostly because I've been meditating on what the Holy Spirit has revealed to me concerning what's to come. I'm thankful that the LORD has already given me understanding about the turn of events that are taking place as I type this. Still, we can easily move away from that place of knowledge in Christ and slip into deception or even worst, rebellion.

Don't stand in God's way.

That's what I heard the Holy Spirit say when I ran back inside of my house on Monday afternoon, after getting in my car and down my driveway only to realize that I forgot to write an important check that needed to be mailed that day. The night before, I had prayed for peaceĀ about a situation that I thought warranted prayers of peace because that's what "good" Christians do during time of conflict. But the LORD reminded me less than 24 hours later that this is His doing and that we must not stand in His way, especially since many of us who He has revealed these spirits and principalities to, have been earnestly praying forĀ God to deliver His people from the lies of the enemy and for a Holy Spirit led revival of faith within the church.

I knew that what I heard wasn't just something to meditate on strictly during our fast this month, but a warning for the body of Christ. Then the very next day, the Holy Spirit told my friend Sherica that God does not want us to create unnecessary mountains.

Not a mountain of fear nor a mountain of pride.

Not a mountain of idolatry nor a mountain of rebellion.

Not a mountain of jealousy nor a mountain of covetousness.

"See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, 'Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven'. Now this 'Yet once more', indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire." - Hebrews 12:25-29

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is not the time, season, or year to disobey God. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, I urge you to come out of agreement with anyone, anything, or any place that requires you toĀ disregard the word and will of God in exchange for money, fame, brotherhood, sisterhood, a platform, or an opportunity. God will not settle for being second in your life. The LORD doesn't desire for anyone to perish in their sin (Ezekiel 18:32), but He will let you if you choose to ignore His voice.

By the way, here's a powerful testimony from a woman of God that the Lord saved from a system of idolatry. I hope that it blesses you as much as it blessed me.
