Dwell in God's presence

Dwell in God's presence

I've heard people say that good help is hard to come by but I've also learned that sometimes help won't come until you admit that you need it. Plus, it seems silly to whine about a lack of help and refuse to be helpful to others. And it certainly doesn't make much sense to complain about how inconsistent some people are while justifying perpetual inconsistency in your own life. Help requires both a call and an answer and if we're being honest, we can be stubborn about doing the former.

"Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon." - Isaiah 55:6-7

Let me be the first to remind you that close mouths don't get fed, so you're going to have to push past pride, bitterness, obstinance or whatever you turn to in order to avoid appearing weak. This year will not only require our undivided attention on the LORD but a clean heart as well. A heart that is set on doing what is right while the temptation to do wrong has a parade in the background. A heart that's always ready to pour out the love that the Holy Spirit has filled it with (Romans 5:5). A heart that understands that in order to see God, it has no choice but to be pure (Matthew 5:8).

I urge you to make Christ your dwelling place all of 2025 whether in joy, frustration, transition or sickness. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we should not be afraid to call on the Father and we must believe that He will send us help. The LORD strengthens those who trust Him and He has the best things in store for those who worship Him in spirit and truth. Refreshing is here (Acts 3:19) and it's available to everyone who's willing to dwell in His presence.
