Giants

When the Lord impressed giants on my heart for our next solemn assembly, I had to search the scriptures and seek the Father in prayer for understanding concerning how this applies to us today. I mean don't get me wrong, I know there are very tall people in the world who are "giant" in comparison to my 5'6" stature but none of that explains why we need to be praying about giants. Thankfully, the Lord gave me the revelation that I was seeking and His confirmation was mind-blowing to say the least and I immediately wrote down what He revealed.

"There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” - Numbers 13:33

The Hebrew word for giants is Nephilim, which are first mentioned in Genesis 6:4 when the world had become corrupt by the flesh of man. Based on my understanding of scripture, Nephilim are the offspring of fallen angels and the seed of women; the mixing of a spiritual being with the flesh of a human being. This was not the will of God and the corruption upon the earth at the time grieved the LORD to the point that He destroyed all living things on earth with a flood sparing the lives of a man named Noah, his wife, their sons, and daughter-in-laws, including at least one male & female of every animal and insect. The flood waters would go on to eventually recede but unfortunately, the corruption would eventually continue.

"For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment" - 2 Peter 2:4-9

Listen, it is a privilege to hear from the Spirit of the LORD and I really try not to take the counsel of the Holy Spirit for granted. Every word that Jesus Christ has given us for solemn assembly has a purpose and requires the anointing of the Holy Spirit, which ensures that our prayers and intercession have the intended effect. I can tell you right now that our assembly regarding giants requires that we: a) Believe that the Holy Bible is the word of God and b) Take Ephesians 6:12 seriously. Some of the things that we will see and hear about in the days to come will seem far-fetched (wild and outrageous even) and we must be fortified in our faith in order to resist the temptation to follow the herd. I'm incredibly thankful that we're starting to see the spoil of our prayers from our previous solemn assemblies and I hope you will consider joining this one.
