I dare you

I dare you

A few weeks ago, I read a book called Dare to Bloom and enjoyed it a lot. It spoke to where I'm at in life right now and gave me the extra boost I needed to trust God for what's next. Listen, taking a good look at your life isn't always exciting, especially if there's an area where you're not seeing much fruit right now. Thankfully, we serve the God that knows how to get a harvest in any season. We simply have to be willing to trust Him for the increase.

"Sometimes you may feel like you're in over your head. God's promise isn't to make things easier; it's to make you more like Him." - Zim Flores, Dare to Bloom

I dare you to ask Him though. And just so we're clear, I'm not talking about vanity and all the other useless things we've been guilty of praying for at one point or another. Rather I'm encouraging you to be bold enough to ask the Father for what He already has for you; the good things that He has stored up specifically for your life here on earth. Plus, I'm convinced that the LORD loves to hear from His children and deep down we all want to be heard, right? Here's a prayer to get you started:

LORD, I'm so thankful for the life I get to live. While it certainly hasn't been perfect, the fact that I'm breathing and moving is an indication that You still have plans for me to fulfill here on earth. You've given me so much already and I don't want to waste time being frustrated or worried about what hasn't taken off yet. I know You got my back and I believe that Your thoughts of me are good. I just want You to know that I'm ready for what's next and I trust You to align everything according to Your will. I'm prepared to bloom and to give You all the glory for it. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
