If you've been on earth for 10 years or longer, then you know that bad stuff happens. Unfortunately, many of the bad things that happen are often planned by people, which further proves why man needs God (at least in my opinion). But because we have the free will to do what we want even things that are illegal, men & women all over the world continue to plot, plan, and scheme against others and although that's jacked up, it's nothing new. Take Apostle Paul for example. While he was unjustly imprisoned in Rome for preaching the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ, there was a plot against his life.
"And when it was day, some of the Jews banded together and bound themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul." - Acts 23:12
Thankfully, Paul's nephew heard about their evil plan and he informed the commander of the jail about it, and they were able to safely transport Paul to Caesarea. This type of help is also available to every single person who abides in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit -- our Counselor, Helper, and Comforter. However, in order to continually receive His help, we have to be willing to yield ourselves to His guidance and trust what He tells us even when we don't understand the why right away. Obeying the Holy Spirit can be the difference between receiving blessings or a curse; life or death and I'm sure that I can speak for all of us when I say that none of us want to live with a curse or die before our appointed time.
I pray that it be caught before it can cause harm.
I prayed those words exactly 2 weeks ago because I believe that the LORD has no desire to see His children afflicted by something that could've been avoided if we trust in Him and lean not to our own understanding. It's easy to forget that all human beings have a real enemy named Satan who roams the earth like a lion looking for prey to devour (1 Peter 5:8). He uses evil spirits and people to aid him in causing confusion and destruction throughout the world every single day. Still, regardless of how more and more wicked the world seems to be getting, I am encouraged that the Father faithfully watches over His sons & daughters.
Part of our role as disciples of Jesus Christ is to come together in faith to pray that every plot, plan, and scheme against our families, our communities, and our nation be exposed and fail. And while I know that we've all got our own personal relationship with Jesus, have you considered that it might be time to call together your relatives and close friends like Cornelius did in Acts 10 to pray and seek the face of the LORD on one accord? How often and how long you all gather is completely up to you. All I ask is that you consider it as well as what the Bible states in Ecclesiastes 4:9 & 12.
"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor... Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
Why labor alone when you don't have to?
