We are living in times where nothing should be ignored. Am I saying that every news report and social media trend requires our undivided attention? No. But as disciples of Jesus Christ, the LORD does expect us to stand in His counsel and receive instruction as He reveals what's to come and what's already occurred.
People only intercede for what they want and not for what I want.
The LORD said those exact words to me a few weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon and He's not lying. There are too many Christians focused on their own wants and needs while completely ignoring who & what God is telling them to pray for. We've become so consumed with the cares of this world that the church has begun to look more like the world instead of just being in it. Could this be the result of our desperation for some sort of "normalcy" post pandemic? Maybe. Still, no Christian should be hyper-focused on self without any sincere regard for God's will. We need all hands on deck within the Body of Christ because judgement is coming and judgement is here. And the LORD is giving His people time to prepare for the life-changing shift that will take place in the USA and in many other parts of the world too. God is allowing us to see and hear things now in hopes that we would take the plumb line He has offered to us and use it to prepare ourselves for what's to come.
"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?" - 1 Corinthians 6:19
A plumb line is a tool that home builders or general contractors use whenever they need to make a straight vertical line. It confirms a room's true vertical, so that there aren't any crooked walls in a home or a building. Our bodies are a temple for the Holy Spirit and in the natural realm, physical buildings serve as temples for us to worship in. Here's the thing. God isn't interested in dwelling within crooked temples because where there is crookedness, there is iniquity and God hates workers of iniquity because it's lawlessness against Him (Psalm 5:5). The LORD is setting a plumb line of righteousness and He will do this by shaking the world in a way that we've never seen before in order to usher the church into a new era of His glory. Whatever isn't fortified in Jesus Christ will struggle during the shaking, which is why every Christian needs to be intentional about seeking the Father for guidance each day in prayer & worship.
My advice: Repent and obey God without objection. Judge nothing according to appearance but with righteous judgement as stated in John 7:24 and make sure you know that you know that you are covered by the blood of the Lamb. Lastly, don't be afraid instead be encouraged. The best is yet to come for those that are in Christ Jesus.
